1489169 2022-10-31 07:27:00 Hi.
Im after some pdf reader alternatives.
Not Adobe .

Something that doesnt have a large side bar with unwanted options I have to pay for :groan:
Something very basic . Something that can show a 2 page pdf with both pages side by side on the screen

Im trying Sumatra , any other good FREE pdf readers ?

1489172 2022-10-31 21:15:00 Sumatra is the correct answer.

All the rest are bloated junk unless you need a fully-fledged pdf editor.

1489174 2022-11-01 02:35:00 There's actually quite a few all have different options, some good some not so good. Most will have a free ( restricted version) as well as paid.

Example. There's Soda Desktop Free and paid options. There's PDF Xchange (free and paid versions) [URL="www.tracker-software.com have used nitro Reader ( free) in the past and still do for the odd thing.

Many More, some already mentioned. :)

Personally I use the free Ashampoo one myself, but that's only because I like their products.

Some have the options to adda signature, type etc. Only a few have the options to show two pages side by side.

The ones mentioned dont have a large side bar with unwanted options

1489175 2022-11-01 09:33:00 I agree that Adobe is not the best option but regarding the
mentioned sidebar, this can be closed with ond click, also
the navigatiom pane.

I have found the in-browser PDF rendering to be slower than a dedicated program, and sometimes incorrect.

On Windows, Sumatra is the best. Foxit turned to sh!t years ago.

Linux already has good PDF readers.
